Unsatisfactory Academic Progress - Mid-year 2008

If you commenced your course in semester two 2007, you will have your academic performance reviewed after completing the first two (2) semesters of study within your course - this will occur after the semester one 2008 release of results. If you fail 50% or more of your enrolled units over the first two semesters of study, your academic performance will be deemed to be unsatisfactory and you will be required to attend a face-to-face Academic Support meeting with a nominated staff member of the Faculty.

The Academic Support meeting will:

  • help you identify difficulties that are affecting your academic progress, whether these are academic or other difficulties
  • inform you of support services that are available or where you can turn for further advice
  • refer you on to a specific service or person for further support or advice

If you are required to attend an Academic Support meeting, the Faculty will record the date of the meeting and whether you attended the meeting and this will be made available to the Faculty Academic Progress Committee at the end of the year.
