This sub-committee is no longer operational.
The Sub-committee on each campus oversees the management of teaching
and learning of undergraduate and pre-service courses on that campus consistent
with Faculty policies and processes and provides advice to the Program Leader.
These sub-committees will normally meet a minimum of four times per year.
Recommendations are forwarded to the Curriculum Committee through the
Associate Dean (Teaching - Undergraduate/Graduate) for consideration and
action as needed.

Elected members will hold office for two years.
- To advise the Program Leader on the management of courses
and issues to be brought to the attention of Curriculum Committee
including the need for course and unit amendments.
- To ensure that course regulations and Faculty policies
pertaining to the development and teaching of courses and units are followed
- To review annually the unit offerings within the program area
and provide advice on the suitability, quality and efficiency of the range of offerings
- To manage and ensure the efficient and effective day to day implementation
of the teaching and learning of the program area (this includes timetabling, allocation of
teaching spaces, and the documentation and maintenance of unit outlines and materials)
- To ensure that communication of course related matters between teaching
staff, administrative staff and students is effective (including the practicum, placements
and excursions and Faculty policies on assessment, quality assurance and teaching resources)
- To provide a forum for discussion related to the management of teaching and
learning in courses within the program (including practicum, placement and excursion
management, course development and evaluation)
- To oversee management of practica including the nature, timing and
supervision of school and other professional placements and to recommend to Curriculum
Committee on outside teaching rounds.
