The Faculty of Education views research as one of its core responsibilities. We are engaged in a wide range of research and are committed to supporting students who wish to enter the field of educational research.

Our research programs cater for education and related professionals who wish to develop the knowledge and skills to conduct professionally-oriented research (including evidence-based and reflective practice); policy-oriented research; or more theoretically-oriented research.

Pathways to research

If want to undertake a PhD, but do not meet the eligibility requirements of previous research experience, there are pathways you could take.

The Faculty provides pathways to research that allow for a significant research thesis and the development of essential research skills.

Scholarships

Monash offers a range of scholarships and grants. You will be assessed for all university-wide scholarships and grants when you apply for a research degree.

The Australian Scholarships Group (ASG) in collaboration with the Faculty of Education is offering a full-time scholarship or a one year bursary for a mid-career teacher or educator who is keen to undertake research in teaching and learning in schools. Expressions of interest close 30 April 2013.
