Note:

  • To be eligible to graduate from the course students must have completed a minimum of 80 days of satisfactory teaching practice.
  • Please note that for primary stream — all Computer Science units to be undertaken at Clayton campus and all Education units are undertaken at Peninsula campus (*except for EDF1303 and EDF1304, which must be undertaken at Clayton campus).
  • Note: Alternate Teaching Specialisation:
Students may request to substitute the mathematics specialisation with one in a branch of science specialisations; however, in order to meet the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) regulations, they will need to complete an extra 6 point unit of study (i.e. 210 credit points compared with 204 credit points for the mathematics specialisation). An application to the Course Coordinator on an individual basis is required.
  • Progressively over the course, students will be completing more of the education component, until the final year which will be entirely education.

This is a conceptual outline only. All queries regarding the course structure should be directed to the Course Adviser or relevant Administrative Officer, Student Services (Pre-service programs).
