Eligibility for graduation

To be eligible to graduate from the course students must have:

  1. Completed a minimum of 80 days of satisfactory professional placement.
  2. Physical Education method - either a current Level 2 First Aid qualification and/or a Remote Area First Aid qualification + AUSTSWIM Teacher of Water Safety Certificate.
  3. Outdoor Education method - a current Remote Area First Aid qualification, plus registered Aquatic Certificate (eg: AUSTSWIM, Bronze) is required.

In order that students may qualify to teach Physical Education outside of Victoria, students should check requirements with their local authority.
