  1. To be eligible to graduate from the course students must have received a minimum of 80 days of satisfactory teaching assessment.
  2. To complete the course in eight semesters, students are required to take five units in two semesters.
  3. Please note that for primary stream — all Music units to be undertaken at Clayton campus and all Education units are undertaken at Peninsula campus except for first year
  1. Studies in music (108 points). There are two major study sequences in music, one of which is performance and the other is either musicology, composition or ethnomusicology (or an approved combination of more than one of these areas).
    # Select two of the following first-year units: MUS1120 Ensemble studies 1 and MUS1130 Ensemble studies 11; or MUS1040 American music and popular culture and MUS1060 Gamelan performing arts.

  2. Studies in education (96 points), a series of units relating to the theory and practice of education, teaching and curriculum. Fieldwork placements are also included.
