- Discipline Major Visual Arts Studio - This is a major core study of 48pts, comprising 12pts at year one level and at least 36pts at year two and three level. Students select one of the following major studies:
Ceramics, glass, metals/jewellery, painting studio, photo-media studio, print-media studio, sculpture studio, visual arts studio or theory of art & design*. (* if combined with 12pts of studio art [practical])
- ** Students in first year Visual Arts must be concurrently enrolled in OHS1000 (0 credit points), which is a compulsory unit in all Visual Arts degrees and must be completed in first semester, first year.

- Please note that for primary stream - all Visual Arts units to be undertaken at Caulfield campus and all Education units are undertaken at Peninsula campus (except for EDF1303 and EDF1304, which must be undertaken at Clayton campus).
- Progressively over the course, students will be completing more of the education component, until the final year which will be entirely education.
