Notes:

  1. To be eligible to graduate from the course students must have completed a minimum of 80 days of satisfactory teaching practice.
  2. To receive the awards of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, a student must successfully complete units totalling 192 points, consisting of:
    1. Studies in Education (96 points) including a series of units relating to the theory and practice of education, teaching and curriculum.
    2. Studies in Arts (96 points) including:
      • Discipline A#: Major Arts sequence (48pts) Any one of: Ancient History, Anthropology, Behavioural Studies, Drama, English, Geography, History, Jewish Studies, LOTE**, Music, Politics, Psychology, or Sociology.
      • Discipline B*: Minor Arts sequence (24pts) Any one of: Anthropology, Behavioural Studies, Drama, English, Geography, History, Jewish Studies, Linguistics, Politics, Psychology, or Sociology
      • Discipline C**: 1st yr Arts sequence (12pts) Selection of another teaching area is recommended
      • Discipline D***: Further 12 Arts points May be selected from discipline A, B, C at first or 2nd year level, or Discipline D at 1st or 2 nd year level.
  3. Please consult Course Advisor or Course Administrator to ensure you have correct prerequisites to continue in a LOTE sequence.
